Owner, Jim Smeaton, a lifelong resident of Tampa Bay, is an outstanding musician and singer. His performance career has ranged from Top 40, Rock & Roll, to Big Band Swing music. He developed his skills as a public speaker and MC during a 25 year career in sales and marketing. It was because of Jim's love of music and performing that he started Music On The Move in 1995.

Jim's professionalism, coupled with his public speaking ability, quick thinking and wit, make him the perfect choice to host and emcee any event, whether wedding, social, or corporate. Jim actively participates in the industry, and has served on the boards of The National Association Of Catering Executives (N.A.C.E.), and The Professional Disc Jockey Association Of Tampa Bay (President 2001-2002).

Jacob, a Tampa native, comes from a musical family. In 2004, he graduated with Honors from the University of South Florida with a major in Finance.

Joshua, a Tampa native, has been with Music On The Move since its inception. He is completely at ease on the stage and in the spotlight.  He is a skilled DJ/MC and knows how to involve every guest and motivate them to new levels of fun and energy by leading interactive games, crowd participation skits, and group dances.

Joe is originally from New Jersey.  He is a skilled MC/DJ, musician, and entertainer.  His experience includes hosting radio shows, (aka Joey DaSuit on WVLT, Cruisin’ 92.1), studio production work, and commercial voice overs.

Chris comes from Columbus, Ohio.  There, he owned and operated his own DJ Company for over twelve years.   Clients request Chris because of his experience as a wedding specialist and his unique ability to read the crowd and interpret what the party needs.
